Reception room with an ivory fabric ceiling swagged in rows and threaded with warm lights, crystal chandeliers and a floral archway over a white aisle to a lit stage

Options

Three ways to soften a room

Choose one, or pair a ceiling with a lit wall behind your head table. Ceiling prices depend on room size and height, so we confirm the details with your venue before we quote.

Priced per foot · 20 ft minimum

Lit wall drape

Gathered sheer fabric with warm fairy lights glowing behind it. Ideal behind a head table, cake table or photo spot, or to hide a wall you'd rather not see.

  • Sheer panels in white, ivory or a colour from our swatches
  • Warm white fairy lights behind the fabric
  • Freestanding pipe and drape: nothing taped or nailed to venue walls
  • 20 ft minimum, then priced per linear foot

One area

Ceiling canopy

Sheer fabric swagged overhead to frame one part of the room: the dance floor, your head table or a sweetheart table.

  • Sheer white or ivory fabric, swagged and gathered overhead
  • String lights woven through, where your venue allows
  • Covers one defined area of the room
  • Rigging plan agreed with your venue before install

Larger coverage

Partial ceiling drapery

Long runs of sheer fabric across a large section of your ceiling, threaded with warm light. The single biggest change you can make to a room.

  • Multiple swagged runs, planned around your room's size and height
  • Warm string lights woven through the fabric
  • Site check with your venue for rigging points and access
  • Full-room ceilings quoted after a venue visit

Good to know: if your ceiling needs a lift, the rental is passed through at cost, with no markup, and shown in your quote before you book. A short wall drape on its own may fall under our minimum order, so pair it with a sweetheart table, centrepieces or a few more feet of drape.

Transform the whole ceiling

For ballrooms, banquet halls and tents where you want guests to look up and gasp. Every ceiling uses flame-rated fabric, follows your venue's rigging rules and includes installation and removal. Larger ceilings are often part of our Grand Collection, our full-room design service.

FAQ

Drapery questions

Will my venue allow ceiling drapery?

Many Edmonton venues do, but the rules vary a lot. Some have rigging points we can use, some only allow freestanding frames, and some require their own approved installer. Tell us your venue when you request a quote and we'll confirm the rules with your coordinator before we price anything. If ceilings are off-limits, a lit wall drape or a draped backdrop gives a similar soft look.

Is your drapery fabric fire-rated?

Yes. We only hang flame-retardant fabric, and we can send the fire-rating certificate to your venue ahead of your event if they ask for it. We also keep drapery well clear of open flames, heaters and hot lights, and we'll suggest LED candles for any tables nearby.

What if my ceiling is high or needs a lift?

Most canopies and wall drapes go up with our own ladders. If your ceiling is very high, or your venue requires a scissor lift for overhead work, we rent one and pass the cost through exactly as invoiced, with no markup. You'll see that amount in your quote before you book, never as a surprise afterwards.

How much setup time does ceiling drapery need?

More than most decor. A canopy usually takes a few hours, and a partial ceiling can take most of the day. Ceiling work often has to happen before tables are set, so we plan the timing with your venue, whether that's the morning of your event or the day before, and everything is finished before your guests arrive.

Will drapery damage the venue?

No. We never use tape, nails or adhesive on venue walls. Wall drapes stand on weighted, freestanding frames, and ceiling work only uses the rigging points or methods your venue approves. We leave the room the way we found it.
